Love This

American Idol

I would like to rally all of my (3) blog readers to vote for Jason Castro on American Idol. He is a really talented, good Christian kid ... well he is 20 or so, but that is a kid to me .... Ugh. I am old. Ok, let's move on.
Anyway, he is the TALK of the town around my house. Fancy and all her friends are really excited to "know" someone on the show. He grew up in our area and in our church. We had gotten to see him sing at church a few times before we saw him on the show. Fancy is actually friends with his little sister so that is actually about as far as the "knowing him" goes. To an 11 year old though, it counts!

Anyway .... watch tonight and don't forget to VOTE !!!

Happy Birthday Daddy

The Husband had a birthday on February 28th and I am just now getting around to posting the pictures.

The kids spent a good part of the afternoon making signs to wish him a happy 37th. Fancy actually got hers to hang from the ceiling in the entry way. I made some comments about it not being able to stay like that ... she of course proved me wrong. =)

Bubby chose to hang his on the island as he reasoned that Daddy always comes into the kitchen for a snack or drink when he gets home. Smart kid.

Here are their masterpieces:

Since Bubby and his Daddy enjoy the drums so much together, he included some comments on his banner that I thought were quite cute.

"YOU ROCK"

"Daddy's boss of drums - you rock Daddy"

Later, we went out to eat at a local Hibachi restaraunt. It is one of The Husband's favorite places to eat and just happens to be Bubby's favorite place to be entertained (eat? eh ....... not so much).

Here is The Husband and his Mom:

Fancy and "Nanny" (my Mom) enjoying the soup:

Bubby and "GaGa" enjoying the soup as well (actually, Bubby faked it for the picture, but who's keeping track?) It had mushrooms floating in it ... that was a deal breaker for him!

The Volcano (Bubby's FAVORITE part)

Bubby trying his hand at chopsticks

The kids made Daddy cupcakes as well. They even decorated a container for them to sit in. We got to enjoy these when we got home. They were a hit!
